Time outs = worse for moms

Oh how hard this is! It is so hard for me to send him to his chair. So hard to see him so sad. Oh please let his naughty stuff pass fast!

time outs are hard for me too. At least with MK. A has been getting them for so many years now - it doesn't phase either one of us! lol!

Time outs are really hard for us too. Marshall is having a better week but when he gets in trouble and sent to time out, he kicks the walls, throws stuff, slams into the door... Yeah, fun stuff.

I have to agree with Tiptoe Mama. My oldest is almost 5 and it really doesn't mean anything to either of us. It still works with my 3 year old but Bree doesn't understand 'time-out' just yet, so I am sure that I will be having those feelings again soon.

I pray that the little naughty things stay little as they get big. My Mom is always telling me that “when you have little kids your [discipline] problems are little, but when your kids get big your [discipline] problems are big”.

Good luck, hang in there. I really believe that time-out and letting them that what they did is not okay it better for both of you in the long run. No matter how much it tugs on the heart strings!

Oh! That is actually a really cute picture. It's hard to stay mad when they are that cute.

Yeah I wasn't two mad just more frustrated. Little toot keeps spitting out his drinks and since he won't drink juice he gets fizzy anything. Makes me carpet a sticky mess. We are going to be making friends with Stanley Steamer this week .
