Utah Walk Now for Autism 2009

Hey everybody! I'm excited to say that the Utah Walk Now for Autism walk is going to be on Saturday May 2, 2009 at Utah Valley University. I've already started my team. So.....if you are interested, start your own team, or you are welcome to join mine. The Walk last year was awesome, and I am so looking forward to this one! Here is the site to check it out.

I would really LOVE to do something like that! What is involved?

You can be as involved or as uninvolved as you want to be. You can join a committee to help plan the event, and I think they meet twice a month on Thursday nights down South somewhere (south salt lake area?) You don't have to join a committee to be a part of the walk though. You can go to www.walknowforautism.org/utah to register your team. You'll be the captain, then you can recruit family and friends to join your team. Everyone is invited to come out and walk with us that day. You can set your own goal for how much money you want to try to raise. I just emailed a bunch of family members and friends, and those that wanted to donate did. Others couldn't donate, but they came out and walked with us, and that was really special, too. There is no monetary commitmeent involved, you just do what you want. Last year was awesome!!! You should totally do it this year!

I just checked another site for more details on meetings, and they meet at the Sanderson Center in Taylorsville---just in case you wanted to know. :0)
